Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre

The Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre (TAC) represents the political and community development aspirations of the Tasmanian Aboriginal community. It operates statewide programs focusing on health, education, cultural awareness, and land and sea management.

Key Services:

• Aboriginal Health Service: Provides culturally safe healthcare through clinics in Burnie, Devonport, Launceston, and Hobart.
• Education & Training: Nationally accredited (ASQA) since 2006, offering training and education programs.
• Cultural Awareness Program: Aboriginal Cultural Competence training to educate individuals and organizations on Tasmanian Aboriginal history and culture.
• Language & Land Programs: Supports the palawa kani language and land and sea management initiatives.

TAC plays a crucial role in advocacy, education, and cultural preservation for Tasmania’s Aboriginal community.
